Quota Increase Requests for Undergraduate & Graduate Courses

by Fahrettin Ay | Sep 24, 2021
To the attention of students who demand an increase in course quotas.
It has been stated by the Registrar's Office and the Graduate School that the quota increase requests for undergraduate and graduate courses will be evaluated during add/drop period.

In this period;
  • Our undergraduate programs' students can send quota increase requests to bm@itu.edu.tr by adding "BLGXXX Lisans Kota Artırım Talebi" (Quota Increase Request for BLGXXX Undergraduate Course)  to the subject line that helps to speed-up the evaluation process.

  • For graduate courses;
    • For students in Computer Engineering Graduate Programs, their advisors should inform the Computer Engineering Graduate Programs' Coordinator  for quota increase requests.

    • For students in other graduate programs, their advisors should send an e-mail to  bm@itu.edu.tr by stating why the relevant course is required for the student (e.g. for thesis study). The subject line should be "BLGXXX Lisansüstü Kota Artırım Talebi" (Quota Increase Request for BLGXXX Graduate Course) which helps to speed-up the evaluation process.

Computer engineering education in Istanbul Technical University started in 1980 as a program under the Department of Control and Computer Engineering Department. In order to keep up with the contemporary developments, Computer Engineering was reshaped as a separate department under the same faculty. All related programs and departments were transferred to the new Faculty of Computer and Informatics Engineering in 2010.
